Mary Luanne Gregory

Mary Luanne Gregory, 71, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. She was born in Greenville, SC to the late Harvey Monroe Batson and Mary Thomasine Dill Batson. Luanne was of the Baptist faith and a loving wife, mother, and Nannie. She had the gift for gab and never met a stranger. Her door was always open to friends and family, and she had a deep love for her dogs, Rosie and Zander. In addition, Mary enjoyed travel, especially trips on a cruise ship.

Luanne was predeceased by her daughter, Rea Tinsley, and sister Donna Batson and her husband, Randy. Mary is survived by her husband of 32 years, Terry D. Gregory; daughter, Lorie Lockaby (Eric); son-in-law, Tony Tinsley; grandchildren, Gavin Lockaby (Abby), Colton Lockaby (Lauren), Hunter Tinsley (Kaitlyn), Kayle Everett (Blake), and Taylor Tinsley (Patrick); great-grandchildren, Addie, Aiden, Camille, Peyton, Layton, and Ella; brother, Monty Batson (Sherri); and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Luanne will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609.
