

Born June 19, 1950, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Florence and George Panke.
MaryBeth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed her boys Jason, Dylan, and Carson. She also loved her Lillie. A talented cook, she was known for meals that brought everyone together. Her homemade Chex mix was a favorite, and her Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were remembered as feasts fit for a king. She made sure leftovers lasted forever.
MaryBeth also found joy in the excitement of NASCAR and often reminded her family how much fun the ride was. She was a loyal Clemson football supporter and held season tickets for 18 years. She also loved to cross stitch and won many first place awards for her work.
MaryBeth was fortunate to travel to Australia, New Zealand, and Alaska, as well as many places in the North Carolina Mountains, Florida, and Hilton Head. She also made an annual trip to Wisconsin to celebrate mom's birthday.
MaryBeth’s infectious laughter could brighten a room. Everyone knew when she was there, and looked forward to getting their moment with this star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Panke. She is survived by her husband, Michael Tate, and her son, Jason Tate.
MaryBeth was able to receive last rites in the hospital with a priest. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive Greenville, SC 29609.
