I am saddened at the loss of your husband and dad. It was such a pleasure to be introduced into his life some 15 years ago. This was not the typical journey of an Architect working with a client. Mukund  was much more than that. He became a friend, we shared meals together (although you had to often explain to this southerner what I was eating) and I loved his sense of humor.  His love of family and faith was so strong - although his love of his Philadelphia Eagles may have equaled that at times! My business engages me with 30-40 different clients a year....but Mukund was an amazing person that I thought about often.  I know there is now a vast void in your lives  that can never be filled...but his memory makes me smile.

I have  known  Mukundbhai Desai since 1962 when we attended the same University in India. He was living in the same dormitory as I. He was very outgoing, witty, kind and smart and his love for Cricket and movie actor Dev Anand was clearly evident at that time. Fast forward to 1974 when he got engaged  to my sister, Sonal. I was simply overjoyed to hear the news as I knew for sure she was going to marry a very loving,  friendly and intelligent person.  Mukundbhai and family came to USA in 1980 a stayed with us for 2 to 3 years before he moved to Greenville. We got to enjoy his company during this time.
Mukundbhai is my brother-in-law, but I have always considered him as my younger brother and friend. He has been with me through thick and thin and has always played an important role during various family events. Mukundbhai was a very kind-hearted person and always lent a helping hand to everyone who came to seek his advice -  whether it was financial, or social.  He would not think twice about helping people who were in financial difficulties. He paid very little attention to money matters. I remember him always saying that "money is a by-product. "
Mukundbhai lived a  very productive and active life and always lived life to its fullest.He was an asset to Greenville and an invaluable member of our family.His favorite motto was "It is not the years in your life that matters, but the life in your years. " and he proved this to be true.

We are so sorry to hear about your dad. I’ve know him (and your mom) since I was 12 and moved to Greenville. He was always my fav uncle to catch up with when I came to Greenville. We are so sorry for your loss ❤️

Mukund uncle was a self-made man, an entrepreneur whose vision and hard work built not only a successful accounting practice here in Greenville, but also many other ventures. But his greatest legacy is not measured in businesses, it is measured in people. He was a true pillar of our community. He gave his time, his energy, and his heart to uplift others—whether family by blood or family by choice. If you came to him with a need, he found a way to help.
Mukund uncles personality left an impression on every person he met including me. He carried a joy for life, a vitality, and a charm that was contagious. Whether it was cheering for cricket, sharing his love for music, or simply laughing with friends in the style of Dev Anand, he had a way of making moments brighter.
Today we also stand with Sonal aunty with Montie and with Toral. We want you to know that this community he helped build will continue to surround you with the same love and support that Mukund so freely gave to us.
Though his voice is now silent, the spirit of Mukund Desai—his generosity, his laughter, his example—will live on in all of us. May we honor him not only with our words today, but with the way we carry forward his legacy of service, joy, and love.

Mukund uncle was always “Toral’s cool dad “ to me, ever since I fist met him years ago on here parents visit to DC. Before this, I never realised hanging out with parents could be so much fun. We had such a great time just hanging out, walking around, bar hopping, and going to the Bombay club.  Since then, we met a few more times, including Toral’s wedding, and he was so lively, generous, and kind. He and the whole family always made me feel like I was a part of them. We are very saddened to learn the demise of Shri Mukund Kaka. He was like our grand father figure and helped us establishing our firm in the USA. Pragnya and I are very sad to hear the news of Mukundbhai passing away. We are deeply saddened about such a significant loss, not only to the community, but also personally. 
It’s hard to believe that my buddy, since I came to the US, is no more.  
It was fun to be around with him and you can always depend on him for his support during IAG and Vedic Center big events. He was polite and soft spoken, but if required, he can be blunt like a typical Anavil.
I have so many good memories with him like taking vacations with senior anavil group and watching cricket games together. And, of course, the last T-20 World Cup we watched together live in Barbados. He has always been with me all these years for guidance and support. I feel guilty that I am not in Greenville to say final goodbye to him. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.We pray for eternal peace to the departed Soul.

Today, as we remember my brother-in-law, Shri Mukund Desai, I recall a man whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and a heart that was always open to others. He was someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand, no matter the situation, and did so with a smile that touched everyone around him. His ever-smiling face reflected the warmth of his spirit, and it is that smile which will remain forever etched in our hearts. Though he has left us suddenly, his goodness, his gentle nature, and the joy he spread will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew him.
