Nancy Pratt

Nancy was born in Upper Darby Pennsylvania and at a young age moved to Connecticut where she grew up with her 3 brothers and 5 sisters. After high school she left home for Bible Camp and later New Tribes Mission where she intended to be a missionary, but God had different plans for her. She met her husband, Bill at New Tribes Mission. After getting married she and Bill moved to California where they had their first son David and she became what she always wanted to be, a mother. Missing her family the 3 moved to Connecticut where they eventually settled in Woodstock. Nancy raised 2 sons and a daughter, giving them a great life.

She was an incredible artist and spent time painting portraits for friends and family. Later in life she found her passion for crocheting blankets for cancer patients, it would bring her joy knowing that she could bring them warmth.

Nancy is survived by her son Andrew and wife Kortney, daughter Christina and her husband Josh and grandson Elijah. Also, brothers David Grist, Richard Grist, Kenneth Grist and sisters Carol Millspaw, Karen Grist, Patricia Sandness, Anna Cyphert and Diane Pierce

She is predeceased by her husband William “Billy” Pratt and son Gavin David Pratt.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13 at 10:00 AM at Hilton Presbyterian Church 34 Main St #207, Newport News, VA 23601.
