Nathaniel James Stewart, 28, of Greenville, SC went home to be with the Lord suddenly on August 20, 2021. Our family was not expecting the loss of Nathaniel or for his life to be cut so short so soon. We are devastated and feel his absence in our family.
His parents led Nathaniel to the Lord at an early age, and we rest knowing he is now safe in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Nathaniel was born on January 10, 1993, to (late) Michael and Gina Stewart of Greenville, SC. After graduating from Bob Jones Academy 2011, Nathaniel pursued his dream to own his own business and began his career in Professional Trucking. He was the Co-Owner of HSE Trucking with lifelong friend John Hudspeth.
Just as his dad before him, Nathaniel was known to all as "Stewie", and anyone who knew him, knew he was always kind and caring, quick witted and always a pleasure to be around because of his positive outlook and passion for life. If you truly knew him, you loved him.
Nathaniel had a deep love of history (civil war reenacting), reading (1000’s of books listened to while driving 1000’s of miles) as well as an extensive and very eclectic music library. When in town between trucking loads he loved hanging out with his tribe at the Red Barn Game Shop playing games and competing in tournaments.
He was welcomed into heaven by his Lord and Savior as well as his father, Michael James Stewart, his paternal grandfather, Robert Alexander Stewart and his maternal grandfather, Gary Wayne Cornell along with great grandparents that he knew and loved.
Nathaniel will always be remembered by his mom, Gina and brother Matthew. His grandmothers Marie Cornell and Phyllis Stewart. His Uncle Troy and Aunt Andrea, Uncle and Tettie, Uncle Steve and Aunt Patty, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Eileen and Uncle Jared and Aunt Dawn. Cousins: Jaxon and Abby Cornell, Megan Brubaker, Blake, Zachary Cottrill, Chelsea Lowe, Robert Stewart, Cody, Jordyn and Dylan Roberts.
The Family will receive visitors at Mackey on Friday September 10, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by short service for family and close friends.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mackeycenturydrive.com for the Stewart family.
