Nell was a graduate of Parker High School. She worked at the soda fountain at Walgreens in downtown Greenville and married Roy on April 1, 1955. She then went to work for textile industry for several years before she and her husband purchased and managed Yellow Cab of Greenville, from which she retired in 1998. Nell enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and various home improvements. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, Roy Clifton Jones, III (Ester)of Plano, Texas, Danny James Jones (Chellie) of Spartanburg, and Mark Ellis Jones of Greenville; daughters, Cathy Hayes (Keith) of Pickens, Christy Jones of Greenville, and Asia Martin of Greenville; grandsons, Christopher Roy Jones and Justin Thomas Hayes; great grandson, Riley James Thomas Hayes. She was preceded by her brothers, Bobby Snyder and Jim Snyder.
Memorial service, 2 pm, Sunday, June 12, 2016 in the Chapel of Mackey Mortuary with a gathering following in the Mackey Reception Center.
