Paris Virginia Harrison, born Paris Morton in Wellford, South Carolina on June 17, 1938, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at Bon Secours Hospital in Greenville, surrounded by love. She was 87 years old.
Paris lived a life defined by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. She was known for her loving heart, her deep care for family and friends, and her lifelong passion for sewing—a craft she used to create beauty and connection.
She was the proud owner of American Blueprint, with locations in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston, South Carolina. Over 30 years, Paris built more than a business—she built a legacy of hard work, integrity, and community. She was an active member of the Zonta Club and the American Sewing Guild, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her talents generously.
Paris is survived by her children Sylvia Harrison, Meg Sides, and Jerry Harrison, Jr.; her grandchildren Ashley Sumerel, John Sumerel, Christian Keller, Caroline Woodman, James Humphrey IV, Oliver Harrison, and Kara Sides; and her sister Carol Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry Harrison, Sr., her brother Terry Morton, and her son Dale Sumerel.
Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her—including her beloved cat, Bo, who rarely left her side.
Paris’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Miss Dixie’s Kitten Rescue at https://missdixieskittenrescue.org/donate/, honoring Paris’s lifelong love of cats and her compassionate heart.
