Patty was formerly of Greer, SC and was the daughter of Grady Henry and Annie Mae Powell.
Patty had a love of animals, in particular the many rescue dogs she took great care of over the years (Charlie, Rosie, Roxie...). She had a talent and a love for arts and crafts. She crocheted many blankets, stuffed animals and created beautiful paintings.
Patty is survived by her son Kevin Parker (Valentina); and her daughter Taryn Sims (Hal); her brother Jack Powell and her brother Ken Powell; her grandchildren Emilia Parker, Parker Kempson, Milo Parker and Blan Kempson.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie E. Sims; her sister Barbara Greene; and her parents.
A visitation for Patty will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
