He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served during Vietnam, retired from SCDOT, and was a longtime member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. Paul was a graduate of Bob Jones University.
A loving husband, father, and grandpa, he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Selma Garrison; children David Garrison, Anna Semanyk, Rhoda Tyler and grandson Nicholas Tyler.
Paul was predeceased by his brothers George Garrison, Gordon Garrison and his sister Helen Dudley as well as his parents Joseph “Jake” and Alice Garrison.
Services for Paul will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 255 W Mountain Creek Church Rd, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM followed by the funeral at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the funeral at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609.
