He was born in Salem, Ohio, on January 1, 1946, to the late Michael and Zorka Divjak Pavkovich.
Robert was not only a hardworking man but was also diligent from his youth. He began working at the tender age of 8 on a truck farm (produce farm) and continued his labor for 70 years until his passing. He worked in the Pittsburgh Steel Mills as a steel tube inspector. After the closure of the steel mills, he pursued further education in non-destructive testing in nuclear plants. For 15 years, he served as a nuclear inspector, traveling to various states such as Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, South Carolina, and the country of Belgium.
For the past 24 years, he was a respected, dependable, and loved employee of General Electric (GE).
When not working, he enjoyed playing solitaire, indulging in his favorite snacks, especially Snickers and chocolate-covered peanuts, or watching his beloved TV shows and movies. As a TV enthusiast, he relished shows like "The Unexplained," "SVU," "Cold Case Files," "Call the Midwife," "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries," "90 Day Fiancé," "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," "Once Upon a Time in the West," "Mama Mia!," "Sling Blade," "Full Metal Jacket," and "Dirty Dancing."
In his youth, he excelled in golf and pool, the latter providing him with the opportunity to play with Joe Namath on numerous occasions.
His adeptness as a dancer led him to meet his wife, Catherine. Bob married Catherine Mundo on May 17, 1969. They resided in Ellwood City, PA, where they raised four children. The couple would have celebrated their 55th anniversary in 32 days.
Bob will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife and his four children: Jennifer Pavkovich Lanning, Damien Pavkovich, Stephanie Pavkovich of Taylors, SC, and Christopher Pavkovich of Greer, SC.
He is survived by his four grandchildren who affectionately called him Pop-Pop: Donaven Lanning, Gabrielle, Jocelyn, and Elysse Pavkovich.
He is also survived by his siblings: Dawn Kwiat of New Castle, Sylvia Mozzoccio of Wampum, Darlene Moses of New Castle, and Michael Pavkovich of Ellwood City, PA.
