

Dana was born in Lynn Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Arthur and Isabelle Sullivan. He attended Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, after which he spent two years in the Marine Corps.
After living in New York for 9 years, Dana and his family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. They lived there for 9 years during which time Dana started Genesis Marketing Group, the largest Christian sales company in the nation at the time.
He served on the Greenville County Council for four years. Dana founded one of the Greenville chapters and was a strongly committed member of the Christian Business Men’s Committee in Greenville. He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church (Fellowship Greenville) and Heritage Bible Church.
His hobbies included golf, stamp collecting, reading, European history and Viennese Operetta; as well as, instilling a love in his grandchildren for all things classic. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by his daughters Irene Harding and husband Tom, Gaye Burch and husband Jonnie, and a son, Peter Sullivan and wife Debbie, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Hugh and daughter, Louise, and grandson, Grant Harding.
