A former resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Sidney was a dedicated Industrial Engineer, a proud graduate of Clemson University’s Class of 1952, and a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He went on to found his own successful engineering firm, leaving behind a legacy of professional achievement and dedication.
Sidney was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a deep passion for golf, and throughout his life, he traveled the world to play on some of the finest courses. His love for the game was matched only by his love for his family.
Sidney was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Cline.
He is survived by his two sons, David T. Cline (Sara) and Stephen L. Cline, along with his cherished grandchildren: Mary Cline Shafer, David T. Cline Jr. , Richard J. “Jack” Cline, Katelan Cline and Katherine Cline. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren: Emma Shafer, Tucker Shafer, and Eliza Grace Cline.
A memorial service to celebrate Sidney’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, at 11:00 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29609.
