Theda Ree Phillips, beloved wife of Richard L. Phillips, passed peacefully September 27, 2015 at her residence in her 70th year. She was born in Danville, Virginia to the late Marvin Dalton and Ethel Hunley Dalton. Her career was as a preschool teacher at Lee Road United Methodist Church and she was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Richard Phillips, Jr., Sherrie Kaw, Timothy Phillips, Tammy Crippen, Cheryl Mardis and Jody Phillips; 17 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be private, per the family's request.
