Thomas was a US Marine Corps Veteran; he served in Vietnam. He was a runner and completed many marathons. He worked for the post office as a mail handler for twenty-three years. He retired in 2008. He loved to listen to music and spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and his three daughters, Keturah Danigel (her husband, Christopher), Esther, and Jessica; his two sons, Andrew (his wife, Yolanda), and Josiah; his seven grandchildren, Emma, Sean, Kylee, Hannalore, Lucas, Melody, and Gideon; his sister Dorothy Karstens. Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helen Carr, and his two sons, Nathaniel and Gideon.
Services will be held at Freedom Baptist Church, 1907 W Parker Rd, Greenville, SC 29617. Visitation from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm. Service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be held at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr, Anderson, S.C. 29621 on February 18th at 3pm.
