

Valerie Frances Webber, age 89, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and began her married life in Mentor, Ohio, with her husband, Richard Webber. In 1981, she and her family relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, where she formed many lasting friendships. In May 2025, she moved to Duluth, Georgia, to be closer to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Webber.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jennifer Webber; Cathy Moerchen (Michael); and Charlene Zugger (Tim); her granddaughters, Megan Ingle (Zach) and Ellie Zugger; and her great-granddaughter, Esley Ingle.
Valerie was a devoted member of P.E.O., a philanthropic organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for women worldwide, where she developed some of her dearest friendships. Her deep love for animals was evident in the many dogs she rescued over the years and through her generous support of local shelters and national rescue organizations.
She found great joy in her yard and gardening. Over the years, she also enjoyed a variety of creative pursuits, including stained glass, flower arranging, and decorative woodworking projects alongside her husband.
Valerie chose not to have a memorial service. Her immediate family will gather privately as she is laid to rest at Graceland East Memorial Park in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
