

Bill spent his career with Carolina Belting Company and retired as president in 2007. He enjoyed being involved in the community, and served on the advisory board of CCB Bank in Greenville, was a member of the Poinsett Club, volunteered at Shriners Hospital for Children, and was an active member of Sam Poe Lodge number 284 AFM.
He was a member of Taylor’s First Baptist Church where he enjoyed activities with his Sunday school class, as well as volunteering at various church functions.
Bill loved to travel, collect antiques, and spend time with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard and tending to his Koi ponds.
Bill was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Janice Boylan (Jim) and two beloved granddaughters, Mary Hannah and Kaylee of Greenville. In addition, Bill is survived by his sister Barbara L. Hunt (Gene), sister Kathryn L. Tapp, sister-in-law Nancy L. Weisner, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, George H. Loftis.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Palmettos of Mauldin Assisted Living Center for the compassionate care provided to Bill and our family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive. Friends and Family will be received prior to the memorial service from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM.
A private committal will be held for the family at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: Parkinson’s Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children or Taylor’s Free Medical Clinic.
