Born in Gastonia, NC, he was the son of Isaac N. Patterson, III of Colfax, NC, and Gayle Brooks of Greenville, SC. He graduated from Greenville Senior High School and attended Clemson University. He also studied Communications & Theatre at USC Upstate.
He was an avid Clemson Football fan and loved classic rock music. He was a studio musician and a gifted guitarist. “To know him was to love him,” as expressed by his friends, those who met him through his music, and many others who had the privilege of meeting him. He was incredibly quick-witted and easily found humor in the simplest of situations. He always found a way to make people laugh and he sacrificially gave to others. He was unselfish and kind, leaving an indelible impression on those who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, his stepmother, one step-brother, two step-sisters, one aunt, three uncles, and a beloved nephew, Brady Cox, who is the son of his predeceased sister, Kathleen Brooke Patterson. Also predeceased are his paternal grandparents, Isaac and Kathleen Patterson and his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Helen Brooks.
In respect of the Covid Pandemic, a memorial service will be held on July 30, 2021, his 40th birthday. Details of this service will be released at a later date.
