

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late John W. and Donnie Grant Britt. Mr. Britt was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran having served in the European Theatre. He was retired from the J.P Stephens Taylors Plant and was a member of Bethel Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Britt is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Davis, Sandra Burns (Tommy Burns, Sr.), Debbie Batson (Gary Batson), and Shirley Freeman; nine grandchildren, Sandy Quinn, Scott Davis, Tommy Burns, Jr., Candace Hall, Kimberly Freeman, Eric Freeman, Vanessa Hamm, Christopher Batson, and Brittney Batson; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Kadell Britt; and special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Donna Davis; a great grandson, Austin Crain; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Steve Peterson with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday at Woodlawn Funeral Home from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM prior to the service.
