I can still see Bernadette’s smiling face & infectious laughter at Weill Cornell Medicine. Hard to believe she has been gone 3 years already.

Bernadette was a really terrific woman who helped me tremendously.  She is still sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Two years have come & gone and I still think of you fondly.

Frank and Alessandra, words cannot describe how saddened I am to hear of Bernadette’s passing.  She has been my lifelong friend (since the 4th grade) I have so many precious memories of our friendship. I want you to know of my prayers and deepest condolences for your tremendous loss. 

I'll remember our years of "Larb salad" lunches, our favorites authors we like to read.  How we kept each other in the loop.  How it was so easy to have a smart conversation.   We would talk for hours and not even realize it, because we were having fun.  We would bounce off ideas, and always be the sounding board for each other.  Always willing to help with ideas & suggestions.   Doing Sacred Heart activities together.   But most of all, I miss your laugh and honesty, my Brooklyn friend.   

I worked for Bernadette at Weill Cornell, as her administrative assistant, while I was in college. She was a kind, generous, and gregarious woman. Bernadette had a light within her that'd instantly brighten up any room she'd walk into. We'd often have lunch together, and exchange stories about growing up in Brooklyn. She always took the time to listen and share thoughtful advice. Bernadette's greatest joy was her family - Alessandra and Frank. I'm so sorry, please accept my deepest sympathies on your profound loss. I'm thinking of you during this difficult time, and sending you lots of love. Bernadette was a gem, and will be greatly missed.





All of the memories that friends have posted fit Bernadette to a tee. She was warm, engaging and so very thoughtful. We have been neighbors in East Hampton for twenty years. Even though we didn’t see one another that often we always stayed in touch. . She always sent holiday cards and remembered birthdays. Thank goodness we have our memories…that no one can take from us.

I worked with Bernadette at Cornell.  Not only was she a lovely woman, but so perky and upbeat.  This is why her passing is such a shock; I didn't know she was sick.   I will miss her tremendously.  Even though she hasn't worked at Cornell for a while, we always kept in touch.   

May God keep Bernadette in his loving arms and help her family in their time of grief.

What we will remember most about Bernadette are her warm and welcoming smile, razor-sharp wit and humor, and limitless energy, especially for Frank and Alessandra. We will miss her with all our hearts and remember her fondly in all our prayers. The Choi Family.

I spent many  hours on the pool deck with Bernadette cheering on the girls for YWCA & CSH.  She was the most thoughtful and good-hearted friend and always offered  kindness, helpful advice or a funny story.  Our deepest condolences to Frank and Alessandra. Dana and I are very sad to hear about Bernadette’s passing. We always looked forward to seeing her and Frank at Sacred Heart events. Bernadette was always engaging, fun natured and caring. She always put a smile on our faces. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers for Frank and Alessandra are the peace that exceeds all understanding be with them in Christ. God bless you both.

Bernadette was truly the most thoughtful, kindhearted, and caring person. She always went out of her way to help and check in on her friends and community members. She put others before herself and continuously demonstrated selflessness. Bernadette was authentic about her faith and lived out what she believed to the fullest. She will be deeply missed but not forgotten.
