Burtt Ehrlich,76, died at home on December 21, 2015. He was a proud graduate of Columbia College and Columbia Business School; the founder and co-chairman of Ehrlich-Bober & Co.; and a current or past board member of organizations including the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, the Arbitrage Fund, Buckingham Browne and Nichols, and Puppies Behind Bars. An inveterate collector (most notably of antique toy soldiers), he was once aptly described as "a die-hard Red Sox fan in Yankee country and an unrepentant left-wing Democrat." He loved the Times crossword, good cigars, and bad food. Burtt is survived by his wife Fran; children Steven, Julie, and David; their partners Kathleen, Noam, and Elisa; and granddaughter Mira--all of whom will miss him terribly. Services today, December 23, at 1:00pm, Congregation Kol Ami, 252 Soundview Ave., White Plains.
