Carol Lichtenfeld

Carol Lichtenfeld, of Greenwich, CT, daughter of Ethel and Samuel Carmasin of Yonkers, NY, loving sister of Alan Carmasin, beloved husband of Bob, cherished mother of Aimee and Michael, devoted aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, great aunt, and friend, quietly passed away on February 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carol’s passions included her 46-year teaching career at Rye Country Day School, where she loved and was loved by the thousands of students she taught, and the many teachers, parents, and administrators she befriended. She loved the theater, travel, volunteerism, music, reading, her many friends, and most of all, her loving family.

She was beautiful in appearance, charming in personality, devoted as a friend, bright and loving.

Funeral services will be held at Temple Sholom at 300 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Temple Sholom Cemetery on Memory Lane immediately following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Carol’s name to the Rye Country Day School Scholarship Fund, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
