Eleanor M Steen

Eleanor, the daughter of John P. Stearns and Evelyn F.Stearns was born on June 5, 1912 in Hoboken, NJ.

She was predeceased by her husband Roy S. Steen and two sisters, Margaret and Victoria Stearns.

Eleanor had been a volunteer at Greenwich Hospital and served as a treasurer for the auxillary. She also volunteered at Hill House.

She enjoyed playing golf, bridge and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Lenora S. Clifford of Riverside, a son Alan R. Steen of Riverside and four stepchildren, Thomas A. Steen of Stamford, Mary Jane Frazier of N.C, Nanette DiNardo of NY and Clarita Kennedy of VA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Gregory Cyr,

Aimee Roden, Kim Davies and Kelsey Steen and six great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Sharon Reid, her wonderful caregiver and Greenwich Hospital Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hill House.

A mass of christian burial will be held this Saturday, January 22 at 12:00 noon at St. Catherines of Siena Church in Riverside. Burial will be private. To leave condolences visit www.leopgallaghergreenwich.com
