

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon (Moe) Chairet, his loving daughter Suzanne (Chairet) Moskowitz and her husband Steven,
He Is also survived by his loving granddaughters, Kyra and Alanna,who were truly the joy of his life. Joe is also survived by his two sisters: Regina and her husband Bob Imbres of Greemwich, Georgian and her husband Richie Bykowski of Sarasota, Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joe was born in 1945 and was a lifelong resident of the Greenwich/Cos Cob community.
Joe attended Byram Elementary school and graduated Greenwich High in 1963. He started work as a draftsman for Microphase in Cos Cob. Joe then attended Wright Technical School to become a plumber.
He worked for Harbor Plumbing and Heating, followed by Rudolph Biagi & Sons Plumbing and Heating with great pride, Joe then started his own business Joseph Chairet Plumbing and Heating. He thoroughly enjoyed his profession and was highly regarded by his customers. A devoted father and husband, Joe considered his greatest gift to be his family. His daughter Suzanne as the apple of his eye... Joe never missed any of her class plays or dance recitals. This love was greatly expanded when he became a “Grandpa”, as Kyra and Alanna were his pride and joy. They were the stars who lit up his life and he was very proud of them. In Joe’s heart, his family meant the world to him.
Thinking of Joe, his family fondly remembers their vacations to the beach house at the Jersey Shore. He loved working in his garden while listening to music, especially Roy Orbison. Joe loved pizza, root beer, cookies, cake, candy and ice cream! He was a kind, caring and thoughtful person who always took time to help others and his kindness was bestowed to many. His bright smile could light up a room and his love of life will always be remembered by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass in Joe’s honor will be held on Thursday, April 7th at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside, CT followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, 215 North Street in Rye, NY
