She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Megow. She was the cherished mother of Edward (Ted) Trudeau Thomas and Karen Thomas Rubenstein. She was the proud Nana to Ava, Jack, Liam, Anna, Cassandra and Hayley. Adored Godmother of Helen G. Barnard and youngest sister of Pamela W. Vincent and the late Helen W. Felchlin, Jessica W. Barnard and Edward M. Wakem. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who knew she would always be an understanding ally.
Linda was born and raised in Manhasset, Long Island. She attended Manhasset High School and graduated from Goucher college in Maryland. While life handed her more hardships than any single person should have to endure, she never allowed it to define her. Those of us who were lucky enough to be loved by her, were loved fiercely and unconditionally-as she was by us. First and foremost, her life focus was her children, any and all sacrifices were made for them up until the very last week of her life. Her family, her friends and her animals brought a lifetime of joy. She was a constant consumer of knowledge, she loved crosswords, games and became a Life Master bridge player. She will always be remembered for her incredible love, strength, loyalty, honesty, smile and for her endless encouragement.
A celebration of her life will be held after the holidays. Please contact her family for details, [email protected].
