
He was born on June 12, 1918 in the Bronx, New York to the late William F. and Anne (Hagan) O’Neill.
Mr. O’Neill was a graduate of Regis High School and received a business degree from Fordham University, class of 1940. He served with pride and distinction in the United States Army during World War II, including the Battle of the Bulge. After a long career in both public and private accounting, Mr. O’Neill retired in 1983 as Treasurer of Rowland Products, Inc.
Mr. O’Neill was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Burns) O’Neill and his sister Aurelia A. O’Neill. He is survived by two daughters, Marcia Watson and her husband Harry of Kirkland, WA, and Mary-Jane Brogan and her husband Kevin of Cos Cob; and two grandchildren, Meghan and Kate Brogan.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Michael the Archangel R.C. Church, Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. O’Neill’s name to Regis High School, 55 East 84th Street, New York, NY 10028.
