Yvonne Marie Marandino

Passed away peacefully on November 18, 2010 from dementia-related complications.

Born in New York on June 2, 1936, Yvonne Marie was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. C. Jules Brulatour and granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas J. Healy, Claire Isabelle Brulatour and Jules Ernest Brulatour, film pioneer and co-founder of Universal Pictures and president of Eastman Kodak.

Yvonne received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Rosemont College in 1957and a Masters degree in Psychiatric Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services in 1959, and spent several years helping the underprivileged. After raising four children, Yvonne became a Realtor for Coldwell Banker in Stamford CT, but continued to fulfill her passion for helping others as a committed volunteer for the Den for Grieving Kids.

Yvonne’s generosity of spirit and strength of character will forever be held in the hearts of her family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Mimi and brother Jules.

Yvonne is survived by her sisters Denise and Andree, children Missy, Rob, Kim and Cristin as well as the grandchildren she so adored, Connor, Aidan, Caroline, Kaitlyn and Ryan.

It is with a heavy heart but extreme gratitude for all she gave that her family says we love you and good-bye.

Visitation will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St. Greenwich, CT on Wednesday, December 1 from 4PM- 8 PM (ph. 203 869-1513). Funeral will be held at St Catherine of Sienna, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside CT on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 12:00PM. Luncheon reception immediately following funeral services at Riverside Yacht Club, 102 Club Rd. Greenwich CT. Entombment to be held at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
