Aftin Lea Jones

Mrs. Aftin Lea Jones, 86, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Aftin was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a beloved lifelong member of The Old Oak Lodge Holiness Church, located in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Aftin Lea Jones is survived by her loving husband, Carl Clifton Jones; her son Melvin Keith Jones; her three daughters, Wanda Coleen Cruz, Cheryl Jean Jones and Carla Christine Jones; sister, Emma Smith of Sallisaw; brother, Kenneth Brown of Sallisaw; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces and her beloved brothers and sisters in her lifelong church of Old Oak Lodge Church in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 19 at Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Dustin Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the funeral home and also beginning at 9 a.m. before the service on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Chester Ellis, Tony Harp, Jay Hill, Ben Richardson, Steve Brown and Brian Jones.
