Alta Bea Leonard

Alta “Bea” Leonard, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born May 2, 1931. Bea retired from Beverly Enterprise before opening her floral business, Green With Ivy. There she spent 20 years serving her customers and friends.

Bea is preceded in death by her son, Terry Leonard and sister, Sue Six. She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Leonard; daughters, Billie Knittig and husband, Jerry and Mitzi Efurd and husband, Ken; grandsons, Michael Whitson and wife, Tracy and Chris Leonard and wife, Jennifer; granddaughters, Amanda Witt and husband, Kevin, Megan Sullivan and husband, Josh and Holly Trotter and husband, Cole; eight great-grandchildren, Saylor and Story Whitson, Jax and Brooks Leonard, Gabby and Izzy Thompson, Sloane Sullivan and Jack Trotter and two sisters Eula Roberts and Rena Canada.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, December 23 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Steep Hill Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
