He was a small business owner of several gas stations and pool halls, and was professional pool player.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Amburgey Flinn of Lake Wales, Florida; three grandchildren, Dee-Dee Blossom Hawkins, Yoo-Dah-Neh Vivian Flinn and Staw-Kwee-Aw (Jason) Flinn; five great grandchildren, Cara, Riley, Cayden, Emma, and Sofia, one brother, Bruce Amburgey of Hudson, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gus was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Nora Baisden Amburgey; the mother of his daughter Geraldine "Geri" Penque, one son, Mitchell
Amburgey; two sisters, Eloise Amburgey Keck and Verbal Amburgey LaBate.
Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
