Gayle had a great childhood. She grew up to graduate from Joliet High School in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly after graduating she moved to Venice, California. A short time later she moved to Riverside, California. Once in Riverside, she met the love of her life, Marty Lynn. They were united in marriage on November 17, 1973 and have been married 50 years. Together they bore children, Claude Marshall Lynn and Matthew Martin Lynn.
Gayle had many hobbies, gardening and rock hunting were just a few of the many things she loved dearly. She shared her later life with many great friends and lots of family. She spent her final days in Arkansas, the state that she found most beautiful in the comforts of her home.
She is survived by her husband, Marty Lynn; her mother, Betty Lorraine; her sons, Claude Marshall Lynn and Matthew Martin Lynn; a brother, Louis Edward Sheppard; two sisters, Loretta Kay Sheppard and Vickie Lynn Voss; four grandchildren, Krisana, Joardin, Trinity and Lynzee and four great grandchildren, Thrain, Rolind, Jrake and Josiah.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 21 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood.
