Bill McKinney, 82, of Alma, Arkansas, originally for Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 in a Van Buren hospital. He was retired from C.B.I., an Army veteran of the Korean War, member of the V.F.W. and Greenwood First Baptist Church. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Ben, who died in a mine explosion three months before Bill was born. He was a good provider and husband and was the love of Doris’s life. Bill was never vaccinated for the mumps as a child therefore; he and Doris never had any children.
Graveside service will be 2 pm Thursday, February 17 at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 10 am till 1 pm prior to the service on Thursday.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; one sister, Lois E. Boyd of Florida; one brother-in-law, Peter Gieiner and four nieces.
