Billie Elmore, 82 of Fort Smith, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 in her home. She was a homemaker, retired cosmetologist, member of Temple Baptist Church, and a servant of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byers Elmore.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Barnes and husband, Larry of Fort Smith, and Sharon Gushing and husband, Danny, of Fort Smith; two sons, Oran Elmore and wife, Brenda of Fort Smith, and James Elmore and wife, Amy of Springdale, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1 at Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith, with burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Abbott under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Todd Barnes, Corey Barnes, Bryant Elmore, Mike Peoples, Steve Peoples, Chase Gushing, Byers Elmore and Neal Pendergraft.
