Billie Ruth Smith

Billie Ruth Smith, 82, of Greenwood, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 in her home. She was a retired LPN, member of the Greenwood First Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class, and was preceded in death by her husband, Therman Dutch Smith.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17 at the Greenwood First Baptist Church, with burial at Lovelace Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Castillow of Greenwood; two sons, Danny K. Smith of Huntington and Michael Lynn Smith of Joplin, MO; five sisters, Evelyn Winfrey and Mavis Ulrey, both of Green Valley, AZ, Betty Hattabaugh of Fort Smith, Joyce Kelly of Fort Worth, TX, and Debbie Martindale of Fort Smith; one brother, Carroll Barnes of Arko, AR., ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roy Castillow, Jr., Steven Castillow, Brian Castillow, Jeff Smith, Michael Wayne Smith, Seth Hattabaugh, and Carroll Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Friendship Sunday School Class.
