Clarence Allen Parnell, 83, of Midland, Arkansas passed from this life to eternity on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Greenwood. He was born July 11, 1933 in Slaytonville, Arkansas to Lester and Mary Bailey Parnell. Clarence graduated from Hartford and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Rheem and was of the Baptist faith.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 1 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Midland under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5-7 pm.
Clarence is survived by two sons, Larry and wife, Shirl and Guy and wife, Boogie all of Greenwood; his brother, Gary of Midland; stepdaughter, Valerie Contreas; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Delores and one brother, Gene Parnell.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
