Cleason Henry Cotton, Jr., 60, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 in Greenwood. He was born April 24, 1963 in Vashon, Washington to Cleason and Norma Cotton. He was employed by Armedica Manufacturing in Greenwood, a volunteer firefighter for 40 years for Milltown-Washburn Rural Fire Department and a former Arkansas Constable for 20 years.
Cleason was a Greenwood fixture, he was always willing to volunteer his time, helping at parades or any function where there was a crowd of people, he was there helping out. He had a servant’s heart.
He is survived by three brother, John Cotton and wife, Sherrie, Gordon Cotton and wife, Hughann and Kenneth Cotton and wife, Mary Ann, two sisters, Patricia Moss and husband, Greg and Amanda Slaten and husband, Brad and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 10 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Ellington Cemetery in Magazine. Viewing will be on Monday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be members of the Milltown-Washburn Volunteer Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Cotton, Kyle Cotton, Chris Cotton, Pat Domingos, Darian Domingos, Anthony Domingos, Jeff Moss, Nicholas Slaten and all Sebastian County volunteer fire departments, Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office, Greenwood Police Department and Greenwood Fire Department.
