Constance "Connie" Mae O'Dell

Constance “Connie” Mae O’Dell, 84, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born September 23, 1939 in Emporium, Pennsylvania to Edward William and Eula Belle (English) Lewis. She worked as a budget analyst at Fort Chaffee, she was a homemaker and member of Rock Creek Baptist Church in Mansfield.

She is survived one daughter, Virginia Johnson; two grandchildren, Ashley Smith and husband, Richard and Brian Johnson; three great grandchildren, Greyson, James and Ella Smith; a nephew, Michael Traver and wife, Cheri and their son, Kacie and other friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elliott O’Dell.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 8 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Richard Smith, Greyson Smith, James Smith and Brian Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Traver.
