To the family of Sgt. David Robinson:
David gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."

I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. I know there are no words to say at this time except to let you know the thoughts of many are with you in this time of sorrow.  May our Father give you comfort and peace in the years to come.

Father we entrust our brother David to your mercy.  You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever.  Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold David in the palm of His hand.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  My deepest sympathies.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to SGT. David Robinson our Brother-in-Arms .   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for David.  And to David it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan.  No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another.  David, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero.  With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure.  We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

My husband was also in Afghanistan this year as well, and I am so proud of Sgt.David S.Robinson for his ultimate service to our country and our freedom.  I understand the service and sacrifice these guys give on a day to day basis, but he gave more than what should have been expected of him and he is a hero to us all. As part of the retired military community, my husband fought in Berlin back when the bus's were being bombed...so I feel your pain...

I was fortunate. Every prayer was heard and I pray that your family walks in strength...I commend the presence and honor of your loved one as he so courageous fought for us.

 When you see the banners that say 'he will not be forgotten, TRUST them...he will not. Not a day or night will go by that someone will not reach out to feel what he stood for, what he was, it is the very substance that we live today.



 SGT Robinson was brave. He was there because he had heart for every American being. He now has his greater reward..the kingdom of Heaven which the fight for freedom is forever won.

 Just as God gave his son, so have you. Sgt Robinson has paid the ultimate sacrifice for which his country remains forever in his praise, OUR NATION's HERO...Thank you Sgt Robinson.

I want to express my condolences to your family for your loss. I am a mother of a US Marine who is preparing for his first deployment to Afghanistan and I want to say how much your sons service to our country is appreciated. I am so sorry for your loss.

I served with Robinson in Iraq--he was a damn good soldier.  God bless him and his family.

I only met him a couple times.. but I am very thankful for the service he gave preserving the freedom that we all hold so dear.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of sorrow.

I work at Ft Campbell as a civillian with the BlackHawk helicopters. My son is 26 and just returned from his second tour in Iraq, his first tour I was with him in Iraq. I understand losing friends in war and it is never an easy thing to go thru. My heart goes out to his parents, brothers, sisters, and his wife & children. There are no words that can console or make sense of this great loss! This is a time when faith in what we can't see and understand rise above what we do see. If you could hear the voice of God He would say.. He's not gone..He's up here with me..don't worry about the things you can't see..I know this is hard and you don't understand.. but trust him to me till you see him again..
