Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Jenny Lind First Baptist Church with burial at Mount Zion Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, David Israel of Greenwood and James Israel of Fort Smith; two step-sons, Michael Hicks of Fort Smith and Mark Hicks of Springdale; two daughters, Marcia Walbe of Springdale and Tina McBride of Short, OK; two step-daughters, Linda King of Charleston and Erica Holycross of Scott AFB, Illinois; one brother, William Israel of Pocola; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, sixteen step-grandchildren and twenty-three step-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Wayne Israel, Don Israel, James Edwin Israel, Michael Hicks, Joshua King and Alex Holycross. Honorary pallbearers wll be J.C. Hamilton, Ben Israel and his Sunday School Class Members.
