Elba Gene Lowe

Elba Gene Lowe, 90, of Booneville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 in his home. He was born March 24, 1934 in Barber, Arkansas to Virgil and Dessie (Ford) Lowe. He was retired from Fort Smith Glass Company and was a member of Pine Log Baptist Church. He was also a rancher, his cattle were his passion.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Sue Lowe; four daughters, Wanda House and husband, Steve, Diane Downs and husband, Jerry, Melinda Hale and Susie Moore and husband, Don; two sisters, Nadean May and Patsy Lewis-Wilson; his sister-in-law, Wanda Wallace; eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three great grandchildren, Alex Achterberg, Macy Honeycutt and Kristy Farhat.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 3 at Pine Log Church with burial at Pine Log Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Moore, Bryan Bradford, Brett Yother, Greg Downs, Alan Downs and Loy May. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Hale, Ricky Hale, Don Elmore, Buddy Littlefield and Charlie Miesner.
