

Gary Bromley of Greenwood passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Gary was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on October 2, 1946 to Hubert and Lois Bromley. He retired from Whirlpool after 42 years as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Genesis 1 Church, where he loved playing gospel music on the banjo and guitar. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as member of the US Navy aboard the USS Robinson. Upon returning from Vietnam he spent time hunting, fishing, gardening and picking Bluegrass music.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lois Bromley; three children, Chrissy Symonds and husband, DR of Van Buren, Angie Ruth and husband, Jeremy of Greenwood and Misty Torraca and husband, Halbert of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Ashley Ragan, Lauren Briley, Hunter Ruth, Devin Symonds and Anthony Torraca; two brothers and one sister, Ray Bromley and wife, Shirley of Van Buren, Donnie Bromley and wife, Patricia of Branson, Missouri and Judy Schreckhise of Spiro, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, April 17 at Greenwood Church of the Nazarene, 806 Excelsior Road in Greenwood. Arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
