Gary B. Kennedy

Gary B. Kennedy, 84, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was a retired preacher, U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and also known as the author, Dusty Rhodes.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 17 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Kennedy; four sons, Terry Ridener and Kent Ridener both of Greenwood, Neil Kennedy of Tulsa and Steve Wiley of Tulsa; four daughters, Debby Jones of Fort Smith, Cindy Pickle of Greenwood, Karen Shawgo of Clyde, North Carolina and Lynn Cochrum of Greenville, South Carolina; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
