

Geneva Lee Elmore, 92 of Huntington, AR went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 18, 2017 in Fort Smith, she departed this life surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Geneva was born on December 18, 1924 to H.H. and Mary Susana"Susie" Hocott Pinkerton in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a member of New Life Tabernacle in Huntington. She was always early to arrive at church and had the coffee ready for everyone, serving others was one of her greatest joys in life. For over 70 years, she made wedding dresses, prom dresses, cheerleader uniforms and the most beautiful quilts you have ever seen. She was a retired Walmart associate.
Funeral will be at 10 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Greenwood, Arkansas, with burial at Huntington Cemetery. Visitation will be August, 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Greenwood from 2pm to 8pm, with family present from 5pm to 7pm. Services will be under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff and Jason Oxford, Brad Howard, Dustin Nena, Brandon James, Matt Young and Chris Little. Honorary pallbearers will be sons in laws, Earl Oxford, Johnny Harris, Jerry Nena, Mark Barton and Charlie Little.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ruben Elmore, one son Derrel Ray Elmore, one brother Roy Pinkerton, two sisters, Pauline Bradley and Imogene Logan, two great grandsons, Bradley and Clayton Woodard, three sons in law, Bobby James, Charles Brewer and Glen Mayo.
Geneva's family was the light of her life and she had enough love in her heart for every single one of them, she is survived by one brother, Harvie Pinkerton and wife Mary of Broken Arrow, OK, one sister Addie Myers of Van Buren, two sons, Donald Elmore and wife Lona of Springdale and Timothy Elmore of Fort Smith, eight daughters, Gerita Oxford and husband Earl of Hartford, Mary Sue Brewer of Mansfield, Hilda Mayo of Huntington, Martha Harris and husband Johnny of Huntington, Tena Nena and husband Jerry of Huntington, Trudy James of Huntington, Tamachia Barton and husband Mark of Mansfield, Mitzy Little and husband Charlie of Mansfield.
Geneva was known as Granny, Maw and Big Granny to her 29 grandchildren, Juli Mitchell and her husband Brian, Jeff Oxford and wife Carmen, Jason Oxford, Lisa Choate and husband Carl, Donna Woodard and husband Vernon, Mary Elmore, Melinda Boatright and husband Stefan, Melissa Yeakley and husband Charlie, Brad Howard and wife Lynette, David Mayo and wife Mary, Daniel Mayo and wife April, Andrea Turner and Colby Turner, Angela Fuller and husband Bryan, Dana Haggard and husband Stephen, Dustin Nena and wife Linda, Allison Null and husband Richard, Brandon James and wife Wendy, Ryan James and wife Joanna, Erin Moody and husband Aaron, Matt Young and wife Kristy, Timothy Elmore and wife Lindsay, Kyle Elmore and wife Amber, Garrett and Mason Copeland, Crystal Rose and husband Pete, Amy Boyd and husband Kyle, Brandi Pettus and husband Travis, Ashley Hancock and husband Jason, Chris Little and wife Cheyenne.

She was known as Aunt Geneva to numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly and she leaves behind a legacy of love.
