Hearold Abraham “Buddy” Strozier went home to the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the age of 93. He was born May 10, 1918. He married Alberta May Sandifer, November 22, 1942. He fought for his country in World War II, marching across Europe, after the war he made his living as an engineer. Hearold was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter, Nancy.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2011 at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 1 – 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 3 – 5 p.m.
He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Byrd and husband, Larry, Cathy Strozier and Patsy Strozier all of Greenwood; one son, Mikle Strozier of Greenwood; one sister, Helen Comer of Greenwood; one brother, Reuben Strozier of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Strozier, Wesley Strozier, Henry Comer, Howard Coleman, Damon Sadler and Enoch Strozier.
