

Jeff T. Harper, 57, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was the Mayor and retired Fire Chief for the City of Hackett, member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Poteau Mountain Misfits and Wild Bunch Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his father, J.L. Harper and sister, Pamela Harper.
Funeral will be 12 p.m. Monday, November 9 at the Hackett High School Gymnasium with interment at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas. Viewing will be Sunday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home, where family will visit with friends from 5-7 pm. Additional viewing will be held Monday in the gymnasium at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Trini; mother, Helen Harper of Sheridan, AR; one son Jeff Harper, Jr. and wife Candace of Hackett; two daughters, Jennifer Escoffier and husband Josh of Greenwood and Brandy Carter and husband Wendell of Barling; two sisters, Tammy Wright and husband Richard of Bismark and Peggy Jeffcoat of Fort Smith; two spiritual brothers, Dee Jeffcoat and Chester Johnson; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Noel, Jim Carter, Josh Escoffier, Adam Mickle, Adam Jeffcoat and Mike Jeffcoat. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hackett Fire Department and hunting buddies.
