Jerrell E. Smith, 89, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a graduate of God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, pastor at Bible Missionary Church in Fort Smith and member of Pilgrim’s Nazarene Church in Cabot.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 7 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 3 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends during this time. There will also be a viewing Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion Methodist Church in Lonoke with burial to follow at Glover Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Odom of Hackett; one brother, Gene Smith of Sherwood; one sister, Eldora Martin of Cabot; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jolene Smith.
