

Jerry Glenn Rogers, 69 of Jenny Lind, Arkansas passed away from this earth on December 3, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born June 22, 1945. Jerry was a truck driver for over 20 years prior to owning his own construction company, Rogers Construction. Jerry loved to fish, hunt and race cars in his younger days. He served many different roles in his local community over the years that included Deputy Constable for a time and working as a volunteer fireman for many years. He was a member of Howard Hill Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Roger of the home; two sons, Robert Rogers and wife, Brenda of Galena, KS and Lowell Rogers and wife, Jodi of Jenny Lind; one brother, Eddie Paul Rogers and wife, Joyce of Mulberry; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Gladys Rogers; two children, Michelle Denise and Timothy Dewayne Rogers; two brothers, Doyle Henry Rogers and Ronnie Lynn Rogers and one granddaughter, Stephanie Danielle Baily.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Steep Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Rogers, Dennis Tomlin, David Cantrell, Jeff Winford, Calvin Kirkham and James Rogers. Honorary pallbears will be Jared Rogers, Cody Rogers, Dereck Rogers, Brandon Bailey, Aaron Rogers, Cory Moates, Bucky Rogers and Steve Fox.
