Jimmy Blackburn

Jimmy Leroy Blackburn, 85, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired Gunnery Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Ron Blackburn and wife, Maria and Mike Blackburn and wife, Leslie; one daughter, Diane Scharfenberg and husband, Chuck; two step-sons, Nick Eason and wife, Mary and Randy Eason and wife, Darla; one step-daughter, Gail Thompson and husband, Darrell; one brother, John Latcham; two sisters, Karen Talbott and Mary Juran and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 10 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday beginning at 1 p.m. before the service.
