Joe Roy Chastain

Joe Roy Chastain, 76, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from Whirlpool after 36 years, member of Greenwood First Baptist Church, member of Masonic Lodge #131 F&AM and past president of the Liberty Cemetery Association.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte; one daughter, Cheryl Cheek and husband, Ronnie of Hackett; three grandchildren, Brandon Cheek and wife, Amanda, Jonathan Cheek and wife, Jessica and Kaycee Cheek; one great granddaughter, Presley Cheek; one sister, Helen Vincent and husband, Elmer; three brothers, Paul Chastain and wife, Jeanie, Jim Chastain and wife, Sharon and Ronnie Chastain and wife, Lanita. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Pauline Chastain and two brothers, David and Bobby Chastain.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Cheek, Jonathan Cheek, Kaycee Cheek, Paul Chastain, Chuck Chastain and Foy Brown.
