John "Sonny" Cameron

John “Sonny” Cameron, 80, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a retired small engine mechanic for Carco International and WalMart, member of New Providence Baptist Church and volunteer for Hackett and Sugarloaf Fire Departments.

Funeral will be 10 am Wednesday, January 11 at New Providence Baptist Church in Slaytonville with interment at Slaytonville Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 2-8 pm at Chateau on the Greens, 11311 S Hwy 96 in Greenwood, where the family will visit with friends from 5-7 pm.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Cameron; five sons, Wesley Cameron of Jupiter, FL, Dean Cameron of Cameron, OK, Jeff Branum of Alma, Michael Branum of Fort Smith, AR and Bradley Branum of Louisiana; five daughters, Roberta Morrison of Hackett, Jolene McKee of Greenwood, Terri Branum of Hackett, Margaret Cameron of Bentonville, AR and Jeanie Marie Branum of Louisiana; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
