Jon Keith Cottingham, 58, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Springdale, Arkansas. Keith was born on April 1, 1964 to J.C. and Kathy Cottingham in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated from Southside High School in 1982, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville.
Keith was an avid sports fan, and loved supporting the Arkansas Razorbacks, as well as enjoying many stock car racing events in the area every chance he got.
He was the Logistics Manager at The Compassion Center NWA in Springdale. He was also a 22 year employee of Walmart working in various roles as an assistant manager in Van Buren and Streamwood/Hoffman Estates, IL, before returning to Fort Smith to work for several years at Hutchison Shoes. He then moved to NWA, where he worked in the Replenishment Department in Bentonville, and also assisted on the Disaster Team.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Kathy Cottingham, his paternal grandparents, Don and Belle Cottingham and his maternal grandparents, George and Grace Mitchell. He is survived by his sister, Lisa Graham (Bob) of Tontitown; niece, Tara Weeks (Heath) of Greenwood; nephew, Jonathan Keith Leonard (Megan) of Springdale and his four “great” nieces and nephews, Pierce Holland, Amelia Weeks, Noah Keith and Lillian Grace Leonard, as well as his aunts, uncles and several cousins.
He was a long time member of Cross Church at Pinnacle Hills and former member of Cavanaugh Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith. Keith loved the Lord, his family and his friends and it brought him great joy to serve with his church family and the people of The Compassion Center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 17 at Chapel on the Creeks in Rogers with graveside service at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18 at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Visitation with the family will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday before the service.
